January 10, 2022 – AhnLab Blockchain Company, a blockchain subsidiary of AhnLab, Inc., a leader in cyber security, released a mobile version of its Web3 wallet.

AhnLab Blockchain Company announced the successful launch of its 'ABC Wallet' Web3 wallet app on the two major app stores, Google Play and Apple App Store.
Key features offered by ABC Wallet's mobile version include ▲Key hacking/loss prevention and user authentication-based key recovery using Secure MPC technology, ▲Threat guidance on addresses complicit in fraud or risky transaction when transferring money, ▲One-touch adding and management of a variety of mainnet-based assets including Ethereum, Klaytn, Binance, and Polygon, and ▲QR code scanning for easy address sharing, etc.
ABC Wallet is set apart by the increased key management security and convenience introduced by its Secure MPC technology. The mnemonic key* method used by existing wallets carried the burden of difficulty memorizing and recording complex and long phrases, and also risked potentially handing over full control of the wallet to the attacker and difficult to restore once stolen. ABC Wallet distributes three ‘Key shares’ to the user, service server, and recovery server. Signature and restore functions for asset trades are only available when two of these key shares are combined.
*Mnemonic key: 12 words used to restore a user's cryptocurrency wallet. Often composed of words that are easy to remember rather than ‘private keys’ that are more challenging to recall. Ex. desk / beach / spider / hamster / pie, etc.
Even if an individual's key share is stolen, key shares are stored on a server with relatively stronger security management, making it potentially safe from the damaging effects of asset leaks, etc., and easily recovered via authentication procedures such as e-mail verification.
Additionally, ABC Wallet has boosted wallet service security. First, it provides a warning feature that flags dangerous wallet addresses by utilizing comprehensive threat and fraud data compiled by AhnLab and its partners. Furthermore, it blocks security threats that may arise at the time of transaction (key input value theft, malicious app operation, etc.) to ensure safe virtual asset trades by connecting with AhnLab's mobile security products and 24-hour security control.
User convenience is also enhanced through functions such as one-touch adding and management of a variety of mainnet assets including Ethereum, Klaytn, Binance, and Polygon, and quick and easy address sharing via QR code scan.
The ABC Wallet follows AhnLab Blockchain Company’s release of the PC version Chrome extension program in September last year. The company's CEO, Suk-Kyoon Kang, said that the launch of the mobile application had "broadened AhnLab's service support environment," and signaled the company's commitment to "continue developing the ABC Wallet by actively introducing new features to deliver a safe and convenient Web3 experience."
